Plot
Due to the stress of the first two weeks of college, Larry develops a form of laryngitis that affects bipedal dragons, although he is not one himself. This causes problems when he discovers Tarla came back, and a miscommunication results in some problems for Leena.

Notes
This story is the third and final set of initial launch stories that get the series off the ground. From here on, unless specified, the remainder of The Severis Tales stories are perpetual—that is, they follow a kind of real-time timeline, but are otherwise seperate from each other.
This story introduces Janessa Vendyor, a highly-recurring secondary character that is Brackneed's niece and fellow college student, although her abrasive attitude causes friction often between whoever she interacts with, Larry Severis in particular.
