Elcra Winterbottom is a primary character from The Severis Tales.
Biography
Elcra is the only child of Berton and Clara Winterbottom. Although she is two years older than Larry, she grew up with him, and they grew up as childhood friends, and considers the Severises an extended family.
Although well educated, she did not pursue a higher education, instead getting her share of work on her parent's wheat farm, although she will one day take over the farm.
Physical Description
Despite looking young, Elcra has a lot of strength and is even slightly muscular. She has long, crinkly platinum-coloured hair with matching silver-coloured eyes and pale skin. She prefers brown and white dresses, or ones made from heavy wool during the winter and colder days.
Peronality and Habits
Elcra takes her friendships seriously, but at the same time, takes no nonsense. She tries to push others to strive for greater, Larry in particular. However, some of her friends have expressed disapproval over her relationship with Larry.
Elcra, being a farmer girl, and a sort-of defender to Larry, has resorted to violence in the past to keep him safe. She beat up Toln Faresteed at least once.
Family and Relationships
Elcra's parents are Berton and Clara Winterbottom. It is currently unknown if she has other Winterbottom family.
With her upbringing and closeness to Larry, she regards the Severises as an extended family, as do they consider the Winterbottoms to be close friends. It was thought that Larry and Elcra would become a couple, but the idea was dismissed by both of them.
Ironically, her best friend is Janessa Vendyor. They seem to understand each other more than anyone else will; and while Elcra puts up with her Vendyor-ish upbringing, Janessa, in turn, is more rooted with the working-class society, a concept her uncle Brackneed objects to.
