In contrast to Brackneed's rough and abrasive personality, Vasira was very kind and outgoing. She did not look down upon others, and she offered them support, especially to her niece, Janessa. After she died, Brackneed became more verbal and aloof, possibly to cope with the loss of his wife, who he still tends to to this day.
